Courses

course

Our courses are arranged in two-week blocks. You can choose one course from either block, or combine two courses from blocks 1 and 2 to create a 3 or 4-week programme.

A typical 2-week course gives you 10 UK credits or 5 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) credits that you may be able to use towards your degree.

You'll receive an official NTU transcript and a certificate of completion after satisfactorily completing your course(s).

The courses are designed for international and UK students who have completed at least one year of undergraduate studies.

*This course(English & Cultural Studies) is non-credit bearing and is an option to students taking any Block Two course, except 'Fashion Knitwear'.

The course can be one, or two weeks however for 'Design and Innovation in Business' it is only available as a one week option

Discounts

a 10% 'early-bird' payment discount is available to you if you pay in full, or a 10% non-refundable deposit, by 31 March 2020
a 10% discount is open to you if you're a current NTU student or an NTU or Global Summer School alumni
if you decide to study two 2-week courses (four weeks in total) you'll receive a 20% discount on your second course (as above).

What your fees include

full social and evening events programme, supported by NTU student buddies
at least one weekend visit to a UK city (maximum of three trips available for those on the four-week programme)
English conversation café to improve your language skills
an end of course ‘summer school showcase’ at which student work is exhibited to NTU students, staff and summer school students
access to NTU’s Global Lounges and services, including a free international lunch and week-day refreshments
an employability / alumni session
summer school souvenir gifts
certificate of completion and a transcript of results

Please note that accommodation is not included so you'll also need to pay for your room during the summer school.

Accommodation fee

You'll be living in the centre of Nottingham, on our City Campus or within a 10 minute walk of it,

with easy transport links to our Clifton and Brackenhurst Campuses (if your course is based there).

See images of our Byron Residence and Liberty Point accommodation, both of which have 24-hour security and reception.

You'll be in walking distance of the main bus and train stations in Nottingham, so you can easily explore the surrounding areas.

You'll have a single room with an en-suite bathroom and share the living and kitchen areas.

When you arrive there'll be a pack of bedding and kitchen equipment (pots, pans, utensils) in your room.

You can expect to pay between £145 - £185 per week for your room, and you'll also need to pay for your food.

Language qualification│IELTS score 6.0 at least or equivalent (some courses may require higher score)
