Arrival & Quarantine Measures for "Exchange & Visiting Students" - to be updated soon

Boarding

Fill out the health & quarantine declaration form on the Quarantine System for Entry within 48 hours before boarding the flight.

Arrival

Step 1. After arriving at the airport, students holding MoE special entry permits MUST report to the MoE staff. MoFA scholarship students can go to the SIM card booths directly.

Step 2. Purchase a Taiwan SIM card (valid for the whole duration of your stay or at least for 30 days for quarantine use). If you are under 18, ask one of your parents to complete the declaration form and bring it with you. A copy of your parent's passport is also needed.

Step 3. Change your mobile number on the quarantine system to your Taiwan number. Country code +886. Present your hotel reservation slip to the CDC quarantine counter

Step 4. Present your passport, MoE entry permit (A4, print in color, for students without MoFA TEC scholarship) or MoFA approval letter (for MoFA TEC scholarship students), NSYSU Letter of Acceptance, Arrival Card, and declaration form (if any) at customs.

Step 5. Exchange money to NT dollars (prepare 100 bills for exchange) and use the restroom before claiming your luggage.

Step 6. You will be asked to take a saliva test and receive 2 rapid test kits for later use (free of charge).

Step 7. Come out to the meeting hall and go to the Car Rental Counter directly. Please turn to the Taxi Service Counter if the rental cars are fully booked. (The rental cars are similar to taxis. There will be a driver taking you to the destination.)

They would ask you to fill in a form for a car reservation. You can ask the staff there to help put on the hotel address in Chinese so the driver can locate your destination sooner. Before you get in the car, they will sanitize your luggage and your body with alcohol spray. It will be a 3-4 hours non-stop trip to Kaohsiung. No stopover is allowed.
