Senshu University - The 2019 Year-Long BCL Program 日本專修大學2019 一年期 BCL Program

This program is designed for students from partner universities who wish not only to improve their Japaneses languages skills and to gain a deeper understanding of Japanese business, culture, and history but also to attend regular academic classes.

From September to December, the business and culture/history classes offered are taught in English; from January to February, students are required to take Japanese Language Classes (7 weeks Winter term) to improve their language skills in preparation for taking regular classes.

From April to August, participants will be assigned to an appropriate academic department, as well as a suitable advisory professor, based on their field of study (as indicated in participants' application documents) and enroll in regular classes (conducted in Japanese) alongside full-time Senshu University students. During that time, participants will also have the option to continue taking Japanese Language Classes, 4 weeks Spring term and 7 weeks Summer term (dependin on their level of Japanese and/or at the recommendation of their advisory professor).

(1) Students should have a good acedemic standing and attendance record (a GPA of 3.0 or above is preferred).-歷年成績GPA 3.0或以上者

(2) Students must be highly motivated with a sincere desire to study at Senshu University.-具強烈學習及參與意願

(3) At least one term/semester of college-level Japanese language study (or equivalent Japanese skill) is preferred.

- 於大學/碩士就學期間修讀過日文課程至少一學期者。申請者需精通：(1) 46個平假名、(2) 日文1至10的漢字、(3)日常招呼基本詞彙；

Program fee│¥692,300 (Home Visit included)-Through a three-day home visit, students will be able to directly experience typical Japanese family life.

¥669,500 (Home visit excluded)

Payment deadline: July 5th , 2019

1. The tuition for this program is waived for applicants from universities that have a mutual exchange agreement with Senshu University (the program

fees already account for the tuition waiver).

2. The total program fee includes (1) textbooks, (2) material fees, (3) transportation fees from Narita Airport to the university dormitory at the beginning

of the program (a chartered bus), (4) transportation fees for company visits, (5) fees for excursions and activities conducted in the “Japanese

Language” course, and (6) housing expenses for students living in the dormitory during the program.

3. The program fee does not include (1) expenses for meals (however, some meals will be served by respective host families during the home visit

experience), (2) transportation fees between the university dormitory and the airport at the end of the program, (3) transportation fees to and from

the dormitory and host family’s house, (4) baggage service charges to and from the airport, (5) expenses for medical care and insurance, or

(6) personal spending and other miscellaneous costs incurred by each student.

Student are responsible for paying all bank charges. When make the transfer, please add to ¥2,500-¥5,000 to cover the charge made by the Japanese recipient bank. Please note amounts paid are non-refundable.

4. Certificate of Health 體檢表（請持專修大學表單前往醫院/診所檢查）；

5. Home visit registration form 校外寄宿家庭申請（非必要，選擇參加Home Visit者繳交，須貼個人證件照）；

6. 個人證件照4張 (4cm x 3cm)；

7. 護照個人資訊頁影本1份；

8. 英文版歷年成績單正本1份（請至教務處申請）；

9. 英文版在學證明（請至教務處申請）；

10. 日文檢定成績單/證書（無則免附）；

11. Japanese Placement Test（繳交申請件後由本處告知online comprehension測驗相關資訊）。
