SOLVE CLIMATE BY 2030: A GLOBAL DIALOG

In an effort to share regional and local climate solutions, OSUN's Solve Climate by 2030 project is organizing 100 simultaneous “global dialog” webinars. Starting on Tuesday, April 6, the project will engage 300+ climate experts in fifty different countries and in every US state as panel speakers, providing ambitious but feasible actions to spur a just, Green Recovery.  Learn more and join the dialogs.

THREATENED SCHOLARS INTEGRATION INITIATIVE LAUNCHED 

OSUN announces the launch of its Threatened Scholars Integration Initiative, which works with scholars seeking alternative teaching, research, or advanced study positions outside their home countries, due to threat from authoritarian regimes, persecution, or other risks, and places them in OSUN institutions. EXPERIMENTAL HUMANITIES COLLABORATIVE NETWORK FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES

The Experimental Humanities Collaborative Network (EHCN) is rethinking the humanities in the light of changing technologies and the need to create more inclusive institutions. Funding opportunities are available to OSUN EHCN partner institutions for project and course development, and student research.

ENGAGED CAPSTONE OR SENIOR PROJECT GRANTS

Grants ranging from $500-$1000 USD are available to support capstone or senior project research that is centered on a question that emerges from a community engagement activity or experience, or that is conducted in collaboration with a community partner. Deadline to apply is April 1. Apply.

GLOBAL SCHOLARS ACADEMY

The Global Scholar Academy, led by The Graduate Institute of Geneva and Harvard Law School, is an intensive residential experience designed to enable junior faculty and post-doctoral scholars to engage in sustained, interdisciplinary, peer-to-peer collaboration. Applications from scholars from the Global South and those working on policy challenges of concern to communities in the Global South are encouraged. Applications and letters of recommendation are due April 2, 2021.

FOUNTAIN FILM FESTIVAL CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS

The Fountain Film Festival is an international student film showcase held annually within the Open Society University Network by Bard College Berlin. Submissions are now being accepted for the festival's first edition, taking place April 22-23, 2021. Deadline is April 10. Learn more and submit.

The Hannah Arendt Humanities Network invites students from OSUN to come together in Vienna, June 21-25, 2021, to read and discuss Helga Nowotny’s In AI We Trust: Power, Illusion, and Control of Predictive Algorithms.
