Applications Are Open for GHEA21 Academic Certificates

Students may now enroll GHEA21 Academic Certificate programs. Applications received before November 1 will be reviewed this Fall 2026 semester. Relevant courses students have taken before applying for a certificate may still count toward certificate requirements. Discover certificates

FROM SCHOLARSHIP TO CIVIC LEADERSHIP: QATAR CONNECTION FELLOWS MEET IN NEW YORK

In August 2026, 22 students from over 10 states and different universities came together in New York City for a four-day conference as part of the Qatar Connection Civic Engagement Fellowship at Bard College’s Brooklyn campus. Read more
 

BARD ACTING PRESIDENT AND GHEA21 VICE CHANCELLOR JONATHAN BECKER WRITES GUEST ESSAY FOR NEW YORK TIMES OPINION

Jonathan Becker, Bard College Acting President and GHEA21 Vice Chancellor, has published a New York Times Opinion guest essay about student voting rights. In the article, Becker argues that institutions of higher learning have a duty to assist their students in navigating the registration and voting process. Read more

IWT CLASP FELLOWS REFLECT ON TEACHING IN LOCAL AND GLOBAL CLASSROOMS 

Cohort '25 of the IWT CLASP Fellows Program spent two years together innovating in their local and global classrooms. Their work culminated in a series of articles that research and reflect on using writing-rich, student-centered pedagogy in GHEA21 classrooms – from dense legal theory classes in Vilnius to ESL lessons in Haiti. EUDAIMONIA FELLOWSHIP IS OPEN FOR APPLICATIONS

The Eudaimonia Fellowship is a civic engagement initiative established for students from BRAC University, American University of Central Asia, Parami Univeristy, and National Sun Yat-sen University. The fellowship provides an opportunity to work with peers to develop a local civic project. Learn more and apply
