Join the American Culture at Temple (ACT) Program

Spend your mornings learning about U.S. culture and history while improving your English. In the afternoons, take trips to explore Philadelphia, New York City, and more! By the end of this program, you will have met people from around the world, gained first-hand experience with American culture by living in one of the top 10 global cities to visit (Lonely Planet, 2024), and improved your English!  

In Winter 2025: 

• February 1 – March 1. Stay for 2, 3 or 4 weeks! 
• Stay in the heart of downtown Philadelphia at the Sonesta Hotel 
• Explore the sites and sounds of Philadelphia, America's first World Heritage City: Olde City, City Hall, LOVE Park, Reading Terminal Market, Philadelphia Museum of Art, Barnes Foundation & more 
• Visit New York City & Washington D.C. 
• Meet your OWL PAL - our student conversation partners program!

In Summer 2025: 

• July 5 – August 2. Stay for 2, 3 or 4 weeks! 
• Stay in the heart of Temple University's main campus
• Explore the sites and sounds of Philadelphia, America's first World Heritage City: Olde City, City Hall, LOVE Park, Reading Terminal Market, Philadelphia Museum of Art, Barnes Foundation & more 
• Visit New York City & Ocean City Beach, New Jersey
