講座內容 / Lecture Topic Introduction:

This lecture explores how media shapes not just what we know, but how governments influence public opinion, diplomacy, and global relationships. Students will examine how countries use international broadcasters such as Al Jazeera, CGTN, and BBC to project influence beyond their borders, and how the same global events are framed differently depending on political and national interests. Drawing on real-world experience in international journalism, the lecture will show how media can shape public perception, influence government decisions, and even affect economic and diplomatic outcomes. Through case studies including global conflicts and the semiconductor industry, students will gain a deeper understanding of how narratives shape the modern world.
