Bard Master of Fine Arts and OSUN are offering three art workshops in contemporary sound, sculpture and photography, designed and led by current Masters candidates. Workshops are open to OSUN students of all levels of art experience. Registration deadline is Wednesday, March 10.

OSUN sponsors Community Action Awards for undergraduate students that help cover costs associated with unpaid summer internships related to the broad field of civic engagement, including education, government, social justice, human rights, media, public policy, the arts and social entrepreneurship. Rolling deadline until May 15th.  Apply.

SPRING 2021 COURSE OFFERINGS AT CENTRAL EUROPEAN UNIVERSITY

CEU invites advanced undergraduate, Master's and Doctoral students, junior faculty, and staff at OSUN partner universities to apply for a selection of twenty Spring 2021 online courses in Economics, Legal Studies, Philosophy and History. Application deadline is March 25th. See listings. Apply. 

FOUNTAIN FILM FESTIVAL CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS

The Fountain Film Festival is an international student film showcase held annually within the Open Society University Network by Bard College Berlin. Submissions are now being accepted for the festival's first edition, taking place April 22-23, 2021. Deadline is April 10. Learn more and submit.

ExEd HUB PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM FOR UNIVERSITY ADMINISTRATORS

Applications are now open for the OSUN Executive Education Hub at Central European University's Professional Development Program for University Administrators. The first two courses focus on building and supporting research excellence in universities and strategic and inclusive management. Application deadline is March 10. Apply.

STUDENT SENIOR PROJECT PANEL NOMINATIONS FOR MAY 2021

OSUN Student Panels featuring the work of graduating seniors are planned for May 2021. Panels will be comprised of students from across the network, moderated by faculty members, and organized around OSUN themes. Nomination deadline is March 18.  Nominate a graduating senior here.

CIVIC ENGAGEMENT MICROGRANTS FOR SPRING 2021

OSUN invites applications from undergraduate students engaged in civic or community-based initiatives. Microgrants of up to $750 USD support student-led civic engagement projects across the network.
Deadline to apply is March 19, 2021. Apply.

COMMUNITY INNOVATION HUBS: INSTITUTIONAL COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT GRANTS

OSUN and the Bard Center for Civic Engagement invite applications from academic leaders to enhance the capacity of student-led start-up initiatives that have the potential to become long-term institutional initiatives focused on addressing an identified community need. Grants are for $15,000 USD for a one-year period. Deadline to apply is March 30.

ENGAGED CAPSTONE OR SENIOR PROJECT GRANTS

Grants ranging from $500-$1000 USD are available to support capstone or senior project research that is centered on a question that emerges from a community engagement activity or experience, or that is conducted in collaboration with a community partner. Deadline to apply is April 1. Apply.

DEADLINE EXTENDED: LONDON CRITICAL THEORY SUMMER SCHOOL

Organized by the Birkbeck Institute for the Humanities, the internationally renowned London Critical Theory Summer School enables graduate students and academics to engage in a two-week course of study with acclaimed critical thinkers.  The application deadline has been extended to March 15.

ORAL HISTORY AND RESEARCH TRAINING SEMINAR IN EASTERN AFRICA

The OSUN Research Hub in Eastern Africa invites applicants to a four-month graduate-level seminar in Oral History and Literature. The course is part of the OSUN Hubs for Connected Learning Initiatives, which offers accredited courses, pathways for learners, and research opportunities to those affected by conflict and displacement, including the host communities. CEU SUMMER UNIVERSITY 2021

CEU's Summer University invites applications from OSUN students, faculty, staff and community partners for its 2021 online summer courses.  The courses are taught in June and July by international teams of scholars and practitioners.

CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS: MANUSCRIPT WORKSHOP AND LECTURES ON ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE WITH HELGA NOWOTNY

The Hannah Arendt Humanities Network invites scholars and students from OSUN to come together in Vienna, June 7-11, 2021, for an opportunity to read and discuss Helga Nowotny’s In AI We Trust: Power, Illusion, and Control of Predictive Algorithms. The manuscript seminar will include Professor Nowotny and a series of invited interlocutors. Applications must be submitted by March 26, 2021. Learn more and apply.

EXPERIMENTAL HUMANITIES COLLABORATIVE NETWORK FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES

The Experimental Humanities Collaborative Network (EHCN) is rethinking the humanities in the light of changing technologies, our increasingly connected planet, the ongoing ecological crisis, and the need to create more inclusive institutions. Funding opportunities are available to OSUN EHCN partner institutions for project and course development, and student research. Application deadline is March 31. Learn more and apply.

GLOBAL SCHOLARS ACADEMY

The Global Scholar Academy, led by The Graduate Institute of Geneva and Harvard Law School, is an intensive residential experience designed to enable junior faculty and post-doctoral scholars to engage in sustained, interdisciplinary, peer-to-peer collaboration. Applications from scholars from the Global South and those working on policy challenges of concern to communities in the Global South are encouraged. Applications and letters of recommendation are due April 2, 2021.

OSUN Junior Academy Fellows at Chatham House contribute to high-level research on the promise and challenge of global governance in the 21st century. Eligibility for the fellowships is restricted to scholars affiliated with OSUN partner institutions in the Global South. Applications must be submitted by March 16, 2021. FELLOWSHIP WITH OSUN RESEARCH HUB IN EASTERN AFRICA

The OSUN Research Hub in Eastern Africa invites applicants to a 10-month research fellowship. Selected Fellows will serve as the inaugural cohort for the Hub and will have the opportunity to work closely with faculty and OSUN leadership.
