NEW OSUN COURSES NOW OPEN FOR STUDENT ENROLLMENT
OSUN is offering a new round of summer courses for students from across the network. Nineteen online courses are available during June and July of 2021, giving students the opportunity to receive credit and participate as if they were enrolled at the member institution where the course originates. Apply by May 23. Course listings and registration portal can be accessed here.

CENTER FOR HUMAN RIGHTS AND THE ARTS FEATURED IN HYPERALLERGIC
In early 2021, Tania El Khoury and Ziad Abu-Rish relocated from Beirut to New York’s Hudson Valley to jointly spearhead a new master’s program and OSUN's Center for Human Rights and the Arts at Bard College. Critical arts website Hyperallergic details how in only two months the team, along with faculty members Thomas Keenan and Gideon Lester, has premiered its first digital commission, launched a series of virtual talks, and began actively recruiting its first cohort of international graduate students.

DEADLINE THIS FRIDAY! Grants ranging from $500-$1000 USD are available to support capstone or senior project research that is centered on a question that emerges from a community engagement activity or experience, or that is conducted in collaboration with a community partner. ENGAGED LEARNING COURSE DEVELOPMENT GRANTS

Chief Academic Officers at OSUN partner institutions are invited to submit a funding proposal for up to five course development grants for faculty who seek to integrate community engagement into the curriculum.

M.A. IN HUMAN RIGHTS AND THE ARTS

OSUN’s Center for Human Rights and the Arts has launched its pioneering M.A. program in Human Rights and the Arts. The first-ever interdisciplinary program brings together scholars, artists, and activists to explore the productive and contentious relationship between the arts and struggles for truth and justice. THREATENED SCHOLARS INTEGRATION INITIATIVE CALL FOR APPLICATIONS

The Threatened Scholars Integration Initiative works with scholars seeking alternative teaching, research, or advanced study positions outside their home countries, due to threat from authoritarian regimes, persecution, or other risks, and places them in OSUN institutions. The Initiative also provides affiliation and support for those who cannot relocate. Learn more or contact TSI
