| Language Proficiency Requirement |
Applicants must meet both requirements:

Minimum English proficiency:
- iBT-TOEFL of 42,
- IELTS of 4.0,
- Duolingo of 95

Minimum Chinese proficiency:
- TOCFL score level 3,
- HSK score level 5

| Required Documents |
- Two (2) recommendation letters
- Study plan (including research plan) in Chinese or English
- Autobiography in Chinese or English
- English and Chinese proficiency certificate
- Proof of achievement of specialized works (or special performances)
- Performance major (piano, strings, voice, winds) applicants need to submit video file(s) of 10-15-minutes solo performance and the “Performance Approval Form” (available on the music dept. website) with the signature of the performance instructor.
- Music Composition and Production major applicants need to submit a copy of the composition score and the performance audio/video files of the composition(s). All applicants can upload the large file(s) of audio/video to YouTube or other web space e.g., Dropbox, and it is required to provide the link of the file(s).
