MEET THE 2023/2024 OSUN GLOBAL ENGAGEMENT FELLOWS

OSUN is proud to introduce the 2023/2024 cohort of its Global Engagement Fellows. This year, 31 Fellows join the initiative from 17 different institutions across the network. The Fellows support numerous civic engagement projects throughout the year, including monthly civic engagement workshops, an ESL and mindfulness program for women in Afghanistan, and a youth mentorship project. Read more.

THE CHANGING ROLE OF THE MILITARY IN POLITICS DURING THE AKP ERA: HEGEMONY AND THE KURDISH QUESTION

FACULTY, STAFF AND GRADUATE STUDENT OPPORTUNITIES

APPLY TO BE AN OSUN GLOBAL MEDIA FELLOW FOR 2023/24

Deadline to apply is Friday, June 16
OSUN seeks ambitious students who want to use their strong media skills to promote the network on their campuses. Students interact with other fellows across the network, receive training from OSUN communications staff and receive a $1,000 stipend.

OSUN and Central European University (CEU) invite proposals for the 2024 Summer University Network (SUN) courses developed and delivered collaboratively by CEU and OSUN partner universities. Learn more and submit.

DEMOCRATIZING GLOBALIZATION: CALL FOR WORKING GROUP MEMBERS

Deadline to apply is Sunday, May 14
The Democratizing Globalization Working Group, a project of the OSUN Hannah Arendt Humanities Network, examines state power and democratizing large-scale social relationships in globalization processes. The group invites scholars from a wide range of disciplinary backgrounds to apply.

GO EAST SUMMER SCHOOL: DIGITALIZATION OF POLITICS IN NON-DEMOCRACIES

Deadline to apply is Monday, May 15
The Go East Summer School convenes at the European Humanities University in Vilnius in August. Organized by the Experimental Humanities Collaborative Network, it examines power shifts in Belarus in the context of digital technologies. Bard College at Simon's Rock invites the network community to a virtual event hosted by students and faculty in Global Political Ecology. NOMINATIONS OPEN FOR BETH RICKY AWARD FOR ACTION AGAINST HATE

Deadline to submit is Saturday, July 1
The Bard Center for the Study of Hate’s Beth Rickey Award is presented to a member of the OSUN community who has taken sustained and effective action against hate. Learn more and submit.
