LIBERAL ARTS EDUCATION IS NOT ONLY A WESTERN CONCEPT

Teachers in ancient India and China were the first to educate young people to become "well-rounded, responsible" individuals, much like liberal arts and sciences educators do today, writes Kyaw Moe Tun in Times Higher Education. PLEDGE DRAFTING WORKSHOPS FOR GLOBAL REFUGEE FORUM

The OSUN Hubs for Connected Learning Initiatives and the OSUN Working Group on Refugees, IDPs/DPs and Host Communities are training partners in drafting institutional pledges for the UNHCR Global Refugee Forum in Geneva in December.  Learn more and register.

REGISTER FOR OSUN REMOTE AMBASSADORS FOR FALL 2023

Priority deadline to register is Thursday, July 20
Applications are now open for OSUN Remote Ambassadors from from Universidad de los Andes, National Sun Yat-sen University, and Parami University. Duties include facilitating OSUN Conversation Tables and promoting OSUN courses and opportunities.

CALL FOR PAPERS: OSUN SUMMIT ON MOBILITY & IMMOBILITY

Deadline to submit is Tuesday, August 15
OSUN's Civic Engagement Initiative, the Hubs for Connected Learning Initiatives, and Bard High School Early Colleges seek research papers and panel proposals from faculty and students for the OSUN Summit on Mobility & Immobility in October.

The Experimental Humanities Collaborative Network invites the public to its art exhibition "To Be - Named," at Haus Kunst Mitte in Berlin. The exhibition, which will travel to the US, Greece, Palestine, Kyrgyzstan, and Mexico, focuses on naming and the significance of names for the development or suppression of a person's identity. Learn more
