DURING GLOBAL REFUGEE FORUM, OSUN PARTNERS PLEDGE CRITICAL SUPPORT FOR HIGHER EDUCATION PIPELINE

As the UN Global Refugee Forum (GRF) 2023 convened in Geneva last week, OSUN partner institutions pledged to support higher education access for more than 16,000 displaced students. OSUN co-leads the GRF's 15by30 Multistakeholder Pledge, dedicated to increasing the enrollment of global refugees in higher education by 15% by 2030. Read more.

ECONOMIC DEMOCRACY INITIATIVE LAUNCHES JOB GUARANTEE WEBSITE

The Economic Democracy Initiative has launched JobGuarantee.org, ​​​​​​a website dedicated to providing a user-friendly description of the job guarantee policy and a deep repository of global news and research related to it. Read more and visit the site.

CALL FOR PROPOSALS: FELLOWSHIPS FOR STRENGTHENING DEMOCRACY IN THE INDIAN DIASPORA

This one-year grant from SOAS and Bard College supports fellows pursuing projects that advance free speech and democracy in India and the diaspora.

CRITICAL THEORY SUMMER SCHOOL

The London Critical Theory Summer School (LCTSS) at Birkbeck is offering 15 in-person and 20 virtual full scholarships for OSUN students. LCTSS takes place from June 24 - July 5, 2024 on Birkbeck's campus in central London.  Learn more and apply.

IDEAS FORUM: AFRICA, RISE OF THE GLOBAL SOUTH & US-CHINA RIVALRY
