"PUBLIC PROBLEM-SOLVING": COMMUNITY OF PRACTICE SUPPORTS ENGAGED RESEARCH WHILE CENTERING COMMUNITY EXPERTISE

In the three years since it was established, the Civic Engagement Initiative’s project on Amplifying the Voices of Engaged Researchers, a collaboration with the Talloires Network of Engaged Universities at Tufts University, has built a community of practice that fills a noticeable gap in support for academic research that is conducted with the cooperation of community partners.  Read more

"THE BRIDGE" SCREENING AND DISCUSSION

Friday, May 3

Network community members are invited to an online screening and discussion of "The Bridge," a fictional film about the daily life of humanitarian interpreters, who are also refugees, in Kakuma Refugee Camp in Kenya. It aims to advocate for changes in their working conditions.  Learn more and join.

OSUN ACADEMY FELLOWSHIPS FOR 2024-25

Chatham House's Queen Elizabeth II Academy for Leadership and the Next Generation, based in London, is looking to host two fellows for a short-term, four-month fellowship from October 2024 to January 2025. The fellowship seeks candidates at the early to mid-stage of their career.  Learn more and apply.

OSUN is offering two OSUN Online Course summer sessions with over 30 classes focusing on a wide range of liberal arts and sciences topics. From the ethics of AI to youth voter suppression and the role of music in political resistance, many courses provide rare interdisciplinary perspectives on important contemporary issues.  Learn more and apply.
