OSUN SUPPORTS STUDENTS SUBJECTED TO POLICE VIOLENCE IN BANGLADESH

On behalf of the Open Society University Network, we express grave concerns about the recent police violence on the BRAC University (BRAC U) campus in Bangladesh, an important OSUN partner. OSUN is a network committed to higher education. Violent assaults, including beatings and shootings, of students conducting peaceful protests on a college campus are incompatible with our educational mission. We express our support for BRAC U students’ right to make their voices heard through peaceful protests and reject violence as inimical to our educational mission.  Read the full statement.

GEOHUB: ADVANCING GEOSPATIAL KNOWLEDGE TO TACKLE GLOBAL CHALLENGES

In the 2023-2024 academic year, the GeoHub project proved to be a crucial source of geospatial education within OSUN. By hosting a variety of workshops and collaborative initiatives, GeoHub enhances the understanding and application of Geographic Information Science (GIS) among students and professionals worldwide. Read the article.

Deadline for manuscripts: Sunday, September 1
The Caribbean Journal of Psychology, based at the University of the West Indies in Jamaica, seeks manuscripts on healthcare challenges and other topics such as body image, colorism, weight concerns, and eating behaviors faced by people in the Caribbean.
