"THE TROUBLE WITH THINKING": THREATENED SCHOLARS AND SUPPORTERS RESPOND TO CHALLENGES TO ACADEMIC FREEDOM
The Threatened Scholars Integration Initiative and partners hosted a daylong workshop in Berlin that examined shifting threats to academic freedom across the globe. “The Trouble with Thinking: Transnational Dialogues on Academic Freedom” brought together scholars forced to leave their countries due to academic repression and academics working within threatened scholar support organizations. Speakers discussed the impacts of right-wing populism and neoliberalism on academic freedom worldwide, seeking new approaches for meeting the threats they face.  Read the article
