Weather Alert: 

Location: Northern, Eastern, and Southeastern Taiwan

Event: Typhoon Gaemi is currently forecast to impact Taiwan. Taiwan’s Central Weather Administration (CWA) expects the typhoon to make landfall late night July 24^th or early morning July 25^th.  The typhoon poses risks of potential damage from both high winds and torrential downpours.  Expect heavy rainfall, high winds, dangerous storm tides, and possible flooding to occur.

Actions to take:

·       Monitor the local news for updates.

·       Prepare enough food and water.

·       Seek secure shelter.

·       Avoid outdoor activities.

·       Visit the Joint Typhoon Warning Center Joint Typhoon Warning Center (JTWC) (navy.mil) and Taiwan’s Central Weather Administration (CWA) for updated typhoon tracking information.
