[Fwd 2025 Summer] Summer School: International Online Sustainability Week September 22–26 @ Hamburg (ONLINE)

The University of Hamburg Business School will be holding its first ever International Online Sustainability Week (6ECTS) from September 22nd- September 26th 2025. We would love to extend an invitation to your students to participate on this exciting opportunity.

This week-long Online Summer School is open to both Bachelor’s and Master’s students and offers a dynamic program, including:

  • Engaging guest speaker sessions on global sustainability topics
  • The Climate Action Simulation – an interactive role-playing game
  • The Week – a collaborative challenge where students tackle real-world environmental issues

As Prof. Simone Neumann, co-organizer, highlights:
"This program allows students to engage with pressing climate challenges and collaborate across borders to explore sustainable solutions for their lives, campuses, and careers."

Interested students should apply by sending an email to nlms.bwl@uni-hamburg.de until August 31st 2025 with the following information:

  • The course is online. Nevertheless, it would be helpful to know if you will be taking part in the course as part of a semester abroad in Hamburg? (Yes/No)
  • Email address:
  • Your motivation. Please answer these 3 questions (maximum 100 words per answer):
  1. Are you willing to fully participate in the online course from September 22-26, including attending all sessions and keeping your camera on throughout the entire program?
  2. What motivates you to participate in the International Online Sustainability Week, and how do you hope to benefit from this experience?
  3. In your opinion, what is one of the most important actions you can take as a student to promote sustainability, and why do you believe it matters?
