FORMER POLITICAL PRISONER SASHA SKOCHILENKO DISCUSSES LIBERAL ARTS, MEDIA, AND SURVIVING INCARCERATION
Former political prisoner Sasha Skochilenko recently spoke in a webinar from Bard College Berlin about her experience studying at Smolny College of Saint Petersburg State University and how her liberal arts education strengthened her antiwar position. She also explained how her studies informed her momentous courtroom speech and helped her to build a media campaign that provided vital support during her imprisonment.

REGISTRATION OPEN FOR FALL 2025 ONLINE COURSES 

Deadline to register is Friday, August 29
Students can register now for Fall 2025 Online Courses. An Online Course is offered by a single faculty member, is taught fully online, and enrolls students from multiple campuses across the Bard network. Many courses are components of Academic Certificates.

DEADLINE TO REGISTER FOR SUMMER 2025 ONLINE COURSES IS MAY 26

The network is offering two Online Course summer sessions with over 30 classes focusing on a wide range of liberal arts and sciences topics. Classes in the first session (6 weeks) start on June 2 and the deadline to register is May 26. Classes in the second session (4 weeks) start on June 9 and the deadline to register is June 2.

CALL FOR PAPERS: ELKANA SYMPOSIUM ON "RESILIENCE AND REGENERATION"

The Yehuda Elkana Center for Teaching, Learning and Higher Education Research at CEU invites abstract proposals from OSUN faculty and doctoral students for its symposium on "Resilience and Regeneration in Higher Education: Past, Present, and Possible Futures."

SUBMIT PROPOSALS FOR INTENSIVE COURSES AT CEU IN 2026

Deadline to submit is Sunday, June 1
The CEU Summer University program invites applications for teaching intensive courses at CEU’s sites in Budapest and Vienna. The program supports 1-2-week courses that involve targeted learning and skills-building opportunities, held in January/December and June/July.
