2019 Company Visit & Cultural Field Trip
The Office of International Affairs worked with TCUS (Taiwan Comprehensive University System) bringing students from National Cheng Kung University, National Sun Yat-sen University, National Chung Hsing University and National Chung Cheng University to Wei Wu Ying National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts & Jiu Zhen Nan Han Pastry House.
Starting from the authentic Taiwanese cuisine, students from different universities and programs get to know each other around the big round table.
Through the guided tour conducted in English, they then discovered the design and the building materials of the Wei Wu Ying National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts, which tributes the beauty of banyan trees and the connection to this harbor city.
The last stop was the Jiu Zhen Nan Han Pastry house. All the students wore customized aprons and had their hands washed to prepare for pastry making.
While waiting for the baking, it's tea time! Tasting different kinds of han pastry and Taiwanese tea while listening to the history and concept of the company, all of them looked more than satisfied.
Under the guidance of the professionals, the pastries came out really good. They were packed in small boxes with cute little drawings by the staffs.
On the way back, students were treated bubble milk tea, as the perfect ending of the day.
