[Fwd 2025 Summer ] Summer Course 'Explore European Diversity' 2025

After the successful editions in 2023 and in 2024, we are very pleased to inform you that the registrations for the new summer course 2025 EXPLORE EUROPEAN DIVERSITY are now open

This year, we are co-organizing this program together with the Faculty of Law, Political Science and Criminology and the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Liege. Together, we will bring your undergraduate students in the core of Europe to raise their multicultural awareness and develop their curiosity for the unknown.

There will be 2 options to choose from:

Option 1 - May 25 - June 13 (3 weeks and 5 countries)

  • Arrival May 25: Brussels airport (group transfer to Liege around 2.30 pm)
  • Departure June 14: Liege (transfer to airport not incl.)
  • 40 Contact hours – 4.5 US credits (9 ECTS)
  • Fees: 2700 € (non partner universities: 3200 €)

Option 2 - May 25 - June 8 (2 weeks and 3 countries)

  • Arrival May 25: Brussels airport (group transfer to Liege around 2.30 pm)
  • Departure June 8: Paris or Liege (transfer to airport not incl.)
  • 27 Contact hours – 3 US credits (6 ECTS)
  • Fees: 2200 € (non partner universities: 2700 €)

Lecture themes will involve:

  • Europe and its working
  • European Economics
  • Migrations in Europe
  • Introduction to the International Criminal Court
  • European Politics

Activities will include:

For Options 1 and 2

  • Welcome and Farewell events
  • French Crash Course 
  • Food Tour in Liege
  • 1 Weekend in Amsterdam and 1 weekend in Paris 
  • Social activities
  • City Tours: Brussels and The Hague 
  • Group transfer from Brussels airport to Liege on May 25 (2.30 pm)

+ for Option 1 only

  • City Tours: Cologne and Luxembourg
  • Visits: Chocolate Museum, Castle, Dinant and Cruise on the river Meuse (to be confirmed)

Fees include:

  • Housing in double room in Liege and in dormitory in Amsterdam and Paris
  • Lectures
  • Cultural visits and social activities
  • Transportation to all locations included in the program
  • Transfer from Brussels airport to Liege on arrival

Fees do not include:

  • Airfare
  • Travel insurance (all risks)
  • Meals (except welcome and farewell dinners)
  • Personal Expenses
  • Transfer back to the airport (end of stay)

Target: undergraduate students from the 3rd and 4th year

Please note that due to a limited number of spots, preference will be given to students who can acknowledge credit transfer. We expect students to have a good knowledge of English (upper-intermediate).
