The e-Yantra Robotics Competition (eYRC) is a robotic MOOC that teaches skills in Embedded Systems, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Control Systems, Functional Programming, Image Processing and other contemporary areas. Participating teams are allotted "themes" that are abstractions of real-world problems. The competition runs over 6-7 months during which participating teams work under the expert guidance of e-Yantra mentors. 

Prof. Kavi Arya (Computer Science & Engg. Dept., IIT Bombay) is the Principal Investigator of e-Yantra (https://www.e-yantra.org), a robotics outreach project hosted at IIT Bombay and funded by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. The e-Yantra Robotics Competition (eYRC) is a flagship initiative of the e-Yantra project, organized annually for Engineering & Technical students.

The competition is open for registrations from students internationally. Participation requires one to be a full-time student of an undergraduate or postgraduate program in a polytechnic, engineering college or university. The competition requires only a basic knowledge of programming - e-Yantra trains students (online) from scratch in the competition.
