UNIVERSITIES AS FRONTLINE RESPONDERS: LESSONS LEARNED FROM THE FIELD

On Thursday, April 3, at 8 AM New York l 2 PM Vienna, OSUN and the Talloires Network of Engaged Universities will host a panel with university co-leaders from the Frontline Responders Initiative discussing how universities are using the Frontliner Model to respond to challenges and provide critical support to their communities. Panelists will present shared strategies that allow universities to lead as bold and nimble civic actors.

FORMER POLITICAL PRISONER SASHA SKOCHILENKO ON "HOW LIBERAL ARTS & SCIENCES HELPED ME IN JAIL"

On Monday, April 7 at 12 PM New York l 6 PM Vienna, Sasha Skochilenko, a Russian artist and musician who was arrested and imprisoned in 2023 for opposing the war in Ukraine, will speak at Bard College Berlin on “How a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts & Sciences Helped Me in Jail.” The talk will be moderated by her Smolny academic advisor, Ilya Kalinin.
