To encourage international university and college students currently studying in Taiwan to share their experiences of living in Taiwan and to showcase Taiwan’s diverse culture, humanistic spirit, and friendly environment, the 2026 International Student Short Video Contest in Taiwan (University Category) is hereby launched. International students are sincerely invited to create short videos that document their authentic stories of studying and living in Taiwan, introduce the beauty of Taiwan to the international community, and enhance Taiwan’s international visibility as a study destination.


1. Event Information

  • Event Title: 2026 International Student Short Video Contest in Taiwan (University Category)
  • Submission Period: February 23, 2026 to April 19, 2026

2. Eligibility

All international university and college students currently studying in Taiwan are eligible to participate.

Participation formats are as follows:

  • Individual participation
  • Team participation (up to 3 members per team)

3. Video Requirements

  • Video Length: Within 3 minutes
  • Video Content: The video must share the participant’s authentic experiences of living or studying in Taiwan.
  • Suggested Themes:
    • Studying in Taiwan
    • Campus life and learning experiences
    • Cross-cultural exchange and personal growth stories
    • Taiwan’s cultural landscape and lifestyle features
    • A friendly campus or living environment
    • Other content that showcases Taiwan’s diversity and beauty

4. How to Participate

Preliminary Round Registration

Participants must complete the following steps:

  1. Upload the competition video to Google Drive
  2. Fill out the registration form and provide:
    • Video link
    • A brief description of the work within 50 words

Final Round

Shortlisted entries will be uploaded to the TikTok platform by Chang Gung University of Science and Technology.


5. Evaluation Criteria

Final results will be evaluated based on the following two components:

  • Jury evaluation scores
  • Public engagement data on TikTok (likes, shares, and comments)

6. Awards

University Category Awards

  • First Prize: NTD 10,000 + Certificate
  • Second Prize: NTD 5,000 + Certificate
  • Third Prize: NTD 3,000 + Certificate
  • Honorable Mention: NTD 1,000 + Certificate

7. Purpose of the Contest

This contest aims to encourage international university and college students to share their authentic study-abroad experiences in Taiwan through video creation, allowing more people around the world to discover Taiwan’s cultural charm, friendly environment, and quality education, and further enhancing Taiwan’s image and visibility as an international study destination.
