🌏 International Internship Pilot Program (IIPP)
🎯 About the Program
IIPP aims to attract outstanding international talents to Taiwan by providing hands-on research internship opportunities. Through direct engagement with Taiwanese universities and research institutions, participants can gain in-depth insights into Taiwan’s research ecosystem and explore future academic or career pathways in Taiwan.
🧪 Internship Opportunities

Host institutions include Taiwanese universities, research institutes, and laboratories

Internship positions are offered by Principal Investigators (PIs) funded by NSTC research projects

Interns will participate in research activities under PI supervision and collaborate with local research teams
👤 Eligibility
Applicants must:

Be foreign nationals (excluding Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau)

Be enrolled in overseas higher education institutions (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD level)
-
Have academic or research backgrounds aligned with Taiwan’s key R&D areas

Demonstrate proficiency in English, Mandarin, or Taiwanese
📅 Program Timeline
Internship duration: 28 days -90 days
🧾 How to Apply

Applications are submitted online and reviewed on a rolling basis.
- Applications will be reviewed through an online matching system. Hosting PIs will evaluate candidates based on academic background and research interests. Successful applicants will receive an official acceptance notice.
💰 Financial Support

Internship allowance: NT$30,000 per month, up to 3 months

PI operating expenses: up to NT$10,000 per intern
