Taiwan–Belgium–Netherlands Academic Exchange and Mobility Grant Program
Call for Applications
I. Program Objectives
To promote academic collaboration and talent cultivation between higher education institutions in Taiwan, Belgium, and the Netherlands, and to strengthen cross-border research and learning, this Program provides financial support for students from universities in Belgium and the Netherlands to undertake research or academic activities in Taiwan. Through this initiative, the Program aims to reinforce bilateral academic linkages and establish a solid foundation for long-term cooperation.

II. Eligible Applicants and Participating Institutions
Eligibility:
Students currently enrolled at legally registered higher education institutions in Belgium or the Netherlands.
Nationality:
No nationality restrictions.
Host Institutions:

IV. Funding Scope and Application Requirements
1. Eligible Applicants
Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral students currently enrolled at higher education institutions in Belgium or the Netherlands.
2. Categories
Research / Laboratory-based Internship
- Eligible applicants: Master’s and Doctoral students
- Duration: 1 week to 3 months
- Fields: No restriction
Short-term Programs
- Eligible applicants: Bachelor’s and Master’s students
- Duration: 1 week to 3 months
- Fields: No restriction
3. Funding Level
Grants range from NTD 30,000 to NTD 70,000, depending on the duration of the program.
4. Required Application Documents (online)
- Application form (including research internship or short-term program plan)
- Letter of acceptance from Taiwanese host institution or proof of program enrollment
(Conditional approval may be granted if pending) - Recommendation letter from home institution advisor
(required for research internships only) - Proof of enrollment at home institution
- Budget justification
5. Applicants are required to identify a host laboratory/instructor or suitable programs. Eligible research/program options include:
- Individual faculty members, laboratories, or research centers of participating Taiwanese universities
- Short-term programs recommended by Taiwan participating universities (Link) (Continuously updated)
- Other intensive courses, thematic academic programs, or workshops at Taiwan participating universities
Note: Student Exchange Program itself is not funded; however, short-term courses before or after the Exchange are eligible.
V. Review Criteria
- Specificity and feasibility of the proposed plan
- Relevance between applicant’s academic field and host institution/program
- Potential for further and sustained academic collaboration

VII. Additional Notes
- Grant recipients must comply with the laws and regulations of the host country and institution.
- Recipients who fail to undertake the approved activities must return the full amount of funds received; partial completion of the approved plan will require proportional reimbursement.
- The Program Office reserves the right to adjust program content and retains final approval authority.
