All visa matters should be processed at the Taiwan Embassy / Representative Office in the countries students are located. After arriving in Taiwan, students will need to process all the related matters at the local National Immigration Agency office.

• Students arriving in Taiwan with a Visitor Visa should re-apply for a Resident Visa in order to obtain an Alien Resident Certificate (ARC). • Students who are issued a Resident Visa should apply for an ARC within 15 days upon arrival in Taiwan (or the day of receiving the resident visa) under current immigration regulations. • Fines will be charged for non-compliance and may result in immediate deportation. • A copy of your ARC must be submitted to the Office of International Affairs before the end of next month after the semester starts. |
